Terms & Conditions
1. Acceptance of Terms
By commissioning artwork or purchasing from Katie Hollinshead Art, you agree to these terms and conditions. A signed document is not required for these terms to be binding.
Please read these terms and conditions carefully. By placing a commission or purchase, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and accepted these terms.
2. Product Description (Commissioned Work)
Each commissioned piece will be crafted using artist-quality materials, including but not limited to high-quality canvas, paints, and finishes. Where applicable the artwork will be completed with a durable varnish or setting spray to protect it from dust, dirt, and UV damage.
The subject matter will be based on an agreed photo, design, or abstract description discussed during the initial consultation.
3. Photograph Rights
If using a photo not personally owned by the client (e.g., from a professional photographer), the client is responsible for obtaining permission from the photo's owner before commissioning the artwork.
4. Payment Terms
Commission:
Prices may vary, but once a 50% non-refundable deposit is paid, the price is fixed. Payment for a commission is via bank transfer using the details provided.
Deposit: A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking or reserve original artwork.
Final Payment: The remaining 50% balance is due within 30 days of artwork completion. Artwork will be shipped after full payment is received.
If the client is unsatisfied with the final piece, and it cannot be resolved through minor alterations, the remaining 50% balance will not be required. However, the client will not receive the artwork, and if deemed suitable, it may be placed for public sale (e.g., animal portraits without personal likenesses).
Prints: Payment for a print is in full at the time of purchase. Payment can be via bank transfer or via the website.
5. Completion Dates
A target completion date will be set before work begins. Clients will be notified upon dispatch. From that point, the artist is not responsible for delivery times.
6. Delivery
Products are shipped from the UK via tracked delivery or can be collected in person. Tracking information will be provided. Overseas shipping charges will be added to the final balance.
Orders are checked and wrapped with the utmost care so you receive your order in perfect condition. In the rare occasion order may have been damaged during transit, please contact me within 24 hours of delivery and supply all of the below information in an email.

7. Returns Policy
Returns are not accepted due to a change of mind. Due to the nature of the sale and the limited number of Editions, Original Artworks and exclusive stock, all sales are final. Once an order has been dispatched, we do not accept returns on any purchase.
If the product is damaged on arrival, clients must contact Katie Hollinshead Art within 24 hours.

8. Copyright
The artist retains copyright to all work, including the right to display images in portfolios, on the website, and on social media. However, for client privacy, permission will be requested before sharing commissioned artwork.
Clients do not have the right to reproduce or sell copies of the artwork without the artist’s consent. The Artist may produce prints of original Artwork at any time; however will not produce prints of commissioned work. On occasion, original artwork will be sold, stating that no prints will ever be made of that original.
9. Data Protection
I am committed to safeguarding your personal information. By providing your details, you consent to their use for processing orders, fulfilling commissions, communicating updates about your purchases, and sending newsletters or promotional emails if you have subscribed to my Newsletter.
Your data is stored securely in HubSpot and is not shared with third parties without your explicit consent. You may unsubscribe from the newsletter or request access to, amendments to, or deletion of your personal data anytime by contacting me at KatieHollinsheadArt@gmail.com

10. Artwork Progress and Updates
Photos of the work-in-progress may be shared with the client, and minor adjustments can be made during this stage. Unless the client specifies otherwise (e.g., for a surprise gift), progress photos may be shared on social media.
If the artwork is a gift, the artist will only share images after the gift has been given.
